Insurance & Billing Information
Trinity Medical Center accepts most major insurances. As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance carrier for you; however, we cannot tell you what your policy will cover. Since your insurance policy and coverage is between you and your carrier, we urge you to contact them prior to your procedure. You will be responsible for any co-pays and/or deductibles. We accept cash, check or credit card.

You will receive an easy to understand, all-inclusive bill for the services provided at Plano Surgical Hospital. You can also expect a bill from your surgeon and anesthesiologist.

Identification and Verification

Prior to your arrival, please confirm whether you or your physician needs to meet any admission requirements, such as pre-authorization, physician referral or second opinion from your insurance carrier(s).

To ensure that you receive maximum reimbursement from your insurance carrier(s), please note whether you or your physician need to meet any admission requirements, such as pre-authorization, physician referral or second opinion. Failure to meet these requirements could reduce or even eliminate your insurance benefits.

Billing Process

Following your surgery, our business office will bill your insurance carrier(s) directly. The insurance carrier will then provide you an “explanation of benefits” (EOB) statement. Don’t worry—this is not a bill. The EOB itemizes all services you received at Trinity Medical Center and explains what the insurance carrier will pay our hospital and which portion you’ll need to cover.

Once the EOB is processed, we’ll bill you for the portion not covered by insurance; this will be due upon receipt. While Trinity Medical Center will bill you for hospital services, please note that you may receive separate bills and may be out of network include but are not limited to:
  • Anesthesiologists
  • Emergency Room Physicians
  • Hospitalists
  • Internists
  • Pathologists
  • Primary Care Physicians
  • Specialty Care Physicians
  • Radiologists
  • Surgeons
  • Other Specialists

Payment

We understand the importance of pricing transparency and will help you understand all costs associated with your procedure. On the day of treatment, you’ll cover any co-pay or deductible that your insurance carrier requires, and those without insurance will need to cover their charges in advance. Trinity Medical Center accepts cash, cashier’s checks, major credit cards and personal checks with a valid ID. Our patient Account Representatives are available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
